.: THE STUDIO :.

Silard Somorjay is very particular about his instruments. He wants to provide his musicians with the very best of instruments to allow them to express themselves to the fullest. He orders all his instruments specially made to his specifications. His studio is surrounded by 8 digital cameras linked directly to the hard drive and are pre-programmed to automatically switch (live motion control) during recording sessions. He has 8 powered speakers and one subwoofer, a 5 mackie board system, 2 computers with 64 bit accumulator resolution and full surround Digital Cinema Recording software.

.: PIANO :.

At his piano, Silard uses a special effects system with transducers and also, an organ pedal to increase the number of sounds available for his MIDI device.

.: DRUMS :.

The Studio is equipped with 4 sets of V drums and a percussion pad with a special electronic sampler device through a MIDI controller for specially programmed sounds. There are also 2 pedals and a giant double kick pedal. Tablas are from India.

Darabuka, originated in Southwestern Asia, is a sand glass shaped hand drum, made from metal or wood and animale skin. It has distinctively chrisp sound.

Zang, finger cymbals originated Southwestern Asia, used as a percussion instrument. They are affixed to the tumbs and middle fingers. With intricate musical patterns they create sparkling sound.

.: SITAR :.

Sitar is from India it is a long neck instrument.usually 17 strings. 4 playing strings,4 drone strings,and there are many resonating strings for overtones.The frets are metal and the main resonator is gourd.

Tablas: Made in India. A percussion instrument consisting of a pair of hand drums. Tabla and Bayan. Tha smaller drum(tabla)played with the dominant hand(solo melodies)made from wood. The larger drum(bayan)played with the other hand. (bowl shaped made from metal or clay)use for Bass tones.

.: BASS :.

In the special assortment of instruments, there is a 5 string custom contra bass from Germany with a violin wood pick up system, a 5 string upright bass with special effects from Denmark, a 6 string bass guitar, made in Germany, with a special intelligent harmonizer system, and a 5 string electric fretless bass guitar, also made in Germany, with a special intelligent harmonizer and MIDI interface.

.: ELECTRONIC AND ACCOUSTIC PERCUSSION :.

Four sets of percussion pads with special electronic sample devices through MIDI controllers for unique pre-programmed sounds and effects. 9 electronic pedals for additional sounds. One WX-5 MIDI wind controller for brass melodies, special Gong's from Thailand, Santoor from Persia, Tablas, Dolphin Drums and a lot of other accoustic accessories. DAF, is a frame drum originated in Persia. The frame is wood,the skin is goat skin, pins applied of the frame to hold the skin in place. The inner parts has rings (jingles).

.: ETHNIC PERCUSSION :.

Four Congas, one special conga with kick pedal. Two Djembes and one Marimba from Africa. Bongos, Darabuka, Tamborim, Timbales, Wunan Gongs and a lot of other more "ethcnic" accessories.

.: SYNTHESIZER :.

The synthesizer plays an important role in the music. A Korg  Triton studio 61, featuring hyper integrated synthesis system and PCM sounds with 256 Mbytes Waweform data and 512mb user memory, resamples in memory and directly to the sequencer. 5 Gbytes hard drive+Karma software. Also, a Kurzweil K2600x 88 key weighted synthesizer, the most powerful synth engine, and a KDFX 4 stereo-bus digital effect processor with 24 bit signal processing, 8 outupts and 8 inputs.
